Phil & Cygnus Productions along with GDTSToo.com have updated their strategy for upcoming Phil & Friends Mail Order.

Please read the following from GDTSToo 1.29.00:

Very soon now we will be able to give you details for a spring tour along the Eastern seaboard by Phil Lesh and Friends, but we need to give you some advance notice about changes in logistics for this, and probably future tours by Phil Lesh.

When we announce a show, you will have a window of 2 weeks to mail in and be counted to receive tickets for that show. After 2 weeks mail order will be closed. If by any chance, our count says that our allotment is sold out within these first 2 weeks, we will attempt to let you know. We will of course still maintain our habit of filling the orders by first-day postmark, and then the subsequent ones.

These two weeks should fall well before public on-sale dates, so the advantage of this new system would be that we will be able to say before public on-sale dates come around, whether or not your orders will be filled, even if, more than likely, we will not be able to have all the orders filled and dispatched. At least you'll know you have tickets coming soon.

Any potential change in this pattern - for whatever reason - would be mentioned at the time of the mail order announcement.

We are very pleased that Phil's team has seen to it that we will get more advance notice. This will make it possible to keep you better informed, and to get the tickets out to you in an expeditious manner. Look for mail order details soon.

Holiday Message From Phil Lesh & Friends December 25, 2000

DEAR FRIENDS,

As another year comes to a close, we'd like to thank everyone that donated blood these past three weekends: at the Blood Centers of the Pacific in Marin and San Francisco, and at the American Red Cross Blood Center in Oakland. It was a pleasure to meet all of you that turned out. These blood drives will continue to run through January 15, 2001. We urge all to visit their local community blood centers to donate blood and to complete organ donor cards during this critical season. We are also planning a national blood and organ donor drive shortly so please visit our website at www.phillesh.net for updates. So much has happened during the past two years since Phil's recovery; even so, we pause every day to offer thanks for the gift of life given so generously by another human being.

We are also pleased to announce that Mike Gordon will be taking part in the Unbroken Chain Benefit on December 30, as well as our New Years Eve show the following evening. We can't tell you how excited we are to be presenting this version of Phil Lesh & Friends for our hometown family at Henry J. Kaiser Auditorium in Oakland. The New Years Eve show will be full of surprises; however, we can tell you that the evening will open with a rare acoustic performance by our friends Gov't Mule and will be followed by at least three full sets by Phil Lesh & Friends. May the music never stop.

This past year was marked by many musical adventures with a variety of wonderful friends, and the coming year will continue to offer new and exciting growth. We are also continuing our presentation of complete soundboard recordings for free download at www.phillesh.net. Please share this music with your friends.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.

Ars Longa, Vita Breve,

Phil Lesh & Friends

GDTSToo Mail Order Update - 11.26.00

Please note that the mail order allotment for the Phil Lesh and Friends New Year's Eve show and the 12.30 Benefit at the HJK in Oakland is sold out.

We have received so many requests for 12.30 Benefit tickets that we are not even going to be able to fill all the orders in the first postmark of November 17. We will stretch it as far as Phil will let us, but unfortunately those of you who mailed in after November 17 cannot be included. We will shortly return your money orders.

As for regular NYE tickets, it looks pretty good for everyone who mailed in. We don't really want to return any of the later postmarks yet, just in case the tickets will stretch.

It turns out that we are going to be able to fill all orders received for the Phil Lesh and Friends New Year's Eve show with the postmarks of November 10, 13 and 14. Orders with postmarks beyond those dates might or might not be filled.

Since a special commemorative ticket is being printed for this show, it may take a little while to actually get these tickets to you. However, as soon as we determine that we are not going to be able to fill orders in later postmarks, we will return the money orders.

[Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.]

Just Announced - Unbroken Chain Benefit on 12.30.00!

In addition, The Unbroken Chain Foundation is pleased to announce that a very limited amount of VIP tickets are available for a private sound-check/ meet & greet on December 30. This ticket also includes your admission to and special seating at the New Years Eve show. Information about this event will be posted tomorrow at www.phillesh.net and on our web site. The mail-in date for this event will be Friday, November 17th.
