Thanks for the review, I've been holding off on tickets cuz there so expensive. I'll be going to the Black Crowes instead.

Last year's James Gang show was pretty short, too. But generally smokin'. Any set list?

Walsh played most of his well known songs....opened with welcome to the club and closed the regualr set with life's been good....i am a fan of walsh's work over the years ..that said, the cost of the tickets made me a bit uncertain beforehand.....the length of the set actually angered me...as i said,if he played a typical 2 hour set i would have praised the show....sadly i cannot recommend that anyone pay this kind of money for such an incredibly short show...to me it was like the length of an opening act or perhaps the first set of an allman brothers or widespread panic show....joe,you can do better and owe it to your fans

Last year I saw the James Gang. I was a little disappointed since it was about 80 minutes, including encores.

I figured I paid about $1 a minute to see them.

I have seen other Joe Walsh shows back in his drinking days. Those were the longer shows, IMO.

he did the same thing last year (James Gang at Beacon)...about a 70-75 minute show. and I agree, he really needs to make it a longer show, or cut ticket prices in half (at a minimum).

interestingly this year there were 4th row DEAD CENTER seats available on ticketsucks the DAY OF the show...so they are not doing a very good job of gauging supply and demand. I had just gotten back from a long trip so took a pass on them.

having said all that, the 75 minutes I saw/heard him play last year were fanf*ckingastic.

Not much longer. I saw Joe in '81 & '83, and neither show ran longer than 100 minutes.

Joe -- at least to me -- is notorious for his short shows. Then again, I felt after 1981, he became very lazy as a songwriter and his art suffered as a result. An example is The Confessor: The title track is right there with the best Joe anthems. However, the rest of the album is sheer dreck.

Got Any Gum was Joe's lowest point: An album thoroughly unlistenable and utterly painful to try to get through.
