good...but certainly not great.

i was impressed with bill and oteil's playing. the max creek guy didn't do it for me. and i wish oteil and bill would have locked into a groove instead of a constant solo-ing style. they went straight for the 'peak'; and forgot to build the melodies.

they weaved in-an-out of eyes of the world (which they started early that day in the zoo's Green Apple festival)...

a pleasure to see bill and oteil in such an intimate place (there wasn't many people there at all!)

I'm looking forward to checking these guys out at the Recher in Balto next month. "Good" Bill & Oteil is worth the price of admission. Their good is better than many guys'great.

Glad they decided on "3" for a name, instead of SOB

I thought it was pretty cool. They jammed well. Bill sounded excellent. There was a few good times when I looked around and saw a lot of people really enjoying the set. All I had was a couple of beers, and I was good to go.

After seeing Billy with DNF in Hawaii, I'm totally jazzed to for more Billy! I hope he makes it to the west coast soon :-)

"All I had was a couple of beers, and I was good to go."

That's what Billy said.

That was my problem when I saw them at the zoo that afternoon.

There was no groove, pocket, etc; just Oteil and Murawski trying to play more notes than each other leaving no real framework for Billy to work in, so it seemed that he was just bashing away back there...
