Great show! Fans were invited to submit their ultimate Mother Hips setlist prior to the show, the band selected one and played it! They didn't pick mine, they picked one from a die hard fan who know all the old stuff--so it was cool to hear lots of stuff I've never heard before. Don't Go So Fast was probably my favorite. Song in a Can was good too, I've gotten used to the Hot Buttered Rum acoustic version so it was nice to hear the rock n roll version again!

As always, the band sounded great and Cafe Du Nord sounded great, nice even, balanced sound despite the myriad of chatters. I'm continually impressed with the solid bass work of Paul Hoaglin, the guy is great. Nothing compares to the California Soul these guys have, melodic, bluesy, crunchy rock n roll at it's best.

It goes without saying, my favorite part of the night was 'Hey Emilie'...If you've never have a crowded room of people scream your name, I highly suggest you try it! :-)
