The Mid-Atlantic Ball is streaming on CNN right now, and there was just a shot of Warren, but there's no sound. Fucking CNN.

not tonight, but I saw Phil play with Jackie Greene's band on Sunday night at an unofficial inaugural party. Phil was playing the bass player's 4-string Fender (I think). They closed out Jackie's set with Sugaree and a rippin' Franklins... smiles all around! Chimenti also played on Franklins. Jackie did a killer New Speedway early on in the set. Warren played with headliner Grace Potter and the Nocturnals for a set-closing Down by the River. Mickey was in the crowd but didn't play.

I just don't dig Jackie. He's totally out of his league. Phil sounds great, which is why I listened.

The solo in Sugaree - uggh!

How come this thread isn't in "The Dead Reviews"? Getting to be time to revive that part of the board, April's around the corner.

sometimes this board is like a trainwreck - it is so horrible yet i can't stop looking - the conversation on here sometimes embarreses me for being associated with this dead scene - shame on me for being a rubbernecker :-)

i'd bet a million dollars i am not the only one who feels the exact same way

Take that back, Warren singing Touch completely redeems his attire. THANK YOU BOB for letting Warren sing

Maybe it's the audio/video quality or the tuxes but they appear uncomfortable and under-rehearsed. A quick comparison of that Wheel to this Wheel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkEDF_gvai0 shows there is a lot of work to be done over the next couple of months.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Bluetrain (Bluetrain) on Friday, January 23, 2009 - 08:23 am: Edit Post

the only appeared under rehearsed because they couldnt so hteir patented choreography on that tiny stage and there was no time for costume changes. I hear Warren's rocking spandex for the tour. And they're going to pipe in vocals so no one can bitch about anyone forgetting lyrics.

That, my friend, is one of the funnier posts I have ever read on this board! What's Mike Hunt feel like stuffed with sand, I wonder....
