Love the venue which is 10 min from our house. The place was quite full and they had a special sit down GA show where they set up at least 20 rows of chairs for the all acoustic performance.

It took them a long time to hit the stage as we got there around 8:20 and they came on around 9:50 and played until 11:30. Kinda makes you wonder what the hell they are doing prior to the show.

Let me preface this by saying that i'm a huge Jayhawks fan, but I actually prefer Louris to Olson, so my suspicion was that Olson would grate on me....and he kinda did. They played most of the songs from their new release which has been hard to get in Canada, so wasn't familiar with the material prior to the show.

As for the Jayhawks tunes, there were lots of odd ones but only until the Tomorrow The Green Grass release. 2nd tune in was probably my favorite which was Nothing Left To Borrow. Having said all of this the show was so mellow that we were really starting to crash.

We saw Louris on his solo tour last year and I enjoyed it much better as the depth of music covered alot of his career....not only that, he could sing the phone book and I'd be ok.

If you go to the show and are more of Louris fan, I would suggest standing closer to his side so that Olson isn't as prevalent.

Either way....the new tunes sound sweet and it was quite enjoyable nonetheless.
