Just for the record Adam- then lets put it to bed- this format is NOT correct- there are slashes instead of hyphens and '4' should be shown as 04. So before we start a blow fest over thread starting lets get it right and be consistent - like your posting the thread from 2013-04-156-...nice typo...I hate being nit picky cuz it's not my style but your passive aggressive behavior is irritating.

Enjoy the show. Sorry it came to this- and I agree with you about thread post consistency which is why now you are getting your balls busted.
Peace B

The Bonnie Lass o' Fyvie (Roud # 545) is a Scottish folk song about a thwarted romance between a soldier and a girl. Like many folk songs, the authorship is unattributed, there is no strict version of the lyrics, and it is often referred to by its opening line There once was a troop o' Irish dragoons. The song is also known by a variety of other names, the most common of them being "Peggy-O."

Just checking in from fireside at my CT home to see how you are all doing. Cold up here! Yea, the breaks were long Fri and Sat as well. Over an hour. Hey, pee breaks, dinner, a few libation as and what not and then back on stage. What do they do backstage? I have always wondered. If it were KISS I know Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons would be pickin up girls but I can't see Phil and Bobby workin that situation now or at any time in their careers. Oh yeh, Jerry used to get lap dances at set break. Kidding of course. Kinda running with it at this point. Maybe they take naps and read books, or play cards and make dinner. I know Phil loves Chess. Anyway, have a great night and see you all in Atlantic City. Prediction: If I had the world to give will be played last night Portchester. Furthur has never played it. Last one ever was 1978 the year it came out and they only played it like 3 times.
Later,
Crazy

Some nice playing and some tracks I'd love to hear. Too much of a Bobby setlist maker night for me, though...as they're teasing The Other One, and JK is playing the full The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald melody; TOO being one of my favorite tracks and The Wreck being one of my all-time favorite songs. They're making me eat my words. But yeah, a good percentage of these songs hold no meaning to me in this context.

Going Down The Road Feelin' Bad, also known as the Lonesome Road Blues, is an American traditional song, "a white blues of universal appeal and uncertain origin". It was recorded by many artists through the years; the first known is Henry Whitter in 1924 as "Lonesome Road Blues"

Deep E - re: GDTRFB -
Thanks... wethinks it is the Woody Guthrie version that really put this song on the map... likely to be where the boys 1st became familiar with it...
Also interestingly covered by Elizabeth Cotten, who of course was an influence and "contributed" various songs to the Jerry/GD canon.

sorry have to vent...STOP BITCHING!!!...fair critique has ALWAYS been part of the experience. Keep it up...it's encouraged! But if you have nothing to add but a bitch and nothing EVER to applaud then you are a drag. You strike me as someone who wakes up everyday of your life looking for a reason to be offended and everyone who has a different opinion you hold in contempt. If you think the Grateful Dead suck after 1969 or after 1974 or after 1978 you are a negative human being that's shows it in your everyday life. If you are a newbie that may not have seen the Dead and like Ryan Adams songs good for you but take the time to learn the traditions on how things are done. I'm just sick of those who are incapable of grasping who they are now versus who they were then and have nothing else in their life but to live in the past and condemn those who do not. In my opinion those that truly live the life praise the old and nurture the new. If you can't do both then go away. Please respond because I have learned...AND ACCEPTED...there are other points of view I may have not heard therefore allowing me to change my own thoughts. Again..sorry to vent

I feel compelled to quote Lennon/McCartney

"Nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need."

Crazy Fingers I love your prediction!! I reached out to Sunshine 2 months ago to plead with her to get the boys to break out "If I had the World to Give" on this run!

Seems like others out there are on the "If I Had the World to Give" train. Last of the big bust outs that hasn't come.

To echo others, what is Mike and Jerri talking about??. I don't see any inappropriate or degrading posts. Confused. Maybe they'll save that World to give for AC. That's my next show. :-)

I was lucky enough to see World to Give one of the only three times the Dead played it (Cleveland). I am going Wednesday night--How cool would it be if they broke it out for me!

I owe everyone an apology. I was on two sites last night including this one and that vent above was intended for the other site but I screwed up. I left that other site previously because it was extremely negative as it was again last night and I was just fed up with the complaining. I again apologize as I posted on the wrong site. Everyone here has been a joy since I joined and I feel badly for not being more careful where I posted my vent.
